Philosophy of Preschool
The DGN North Stars Preschool is taught by high school students who are studying child development, eager to take an active teaching role and interested in careers involving children. The structure of our preschool enhances socialization, cooperative play and fun filled learning, with a play based focus on the idea that children learn the most from creative lessons.
The daily schedule is a mixture of teacher and child directed play with small and large group activities based around a theme. Children will be involved in small/large motor, dramatic play, block play, music, math, science, nutrition, social studies, creative are, and sand and water play lessons focusing on the social and emotional adjustment to developing healthy self-care habits.
We will also be offering a Playgroup for infants up to 3 years old second semester.
